The Area

Our Cape Cod vacation rental home, The Laurel, is located on a secluded, two-acre lot in Truro, overlooking Cape Cod National Seashore. We are near the beaches---just under 2 miles from Cape Cod Bay and 2.5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

The two-bedroom air-conditioned home, which has been featured in a national magazine and two books, enjoys private sunning and sunset views from its rooftop deck. It sleeps up to 4 adults and 6 people total including children.

Also located on the 2-acre property is the owner’s cottage and a studio. These buildings are located well away from your home and have separate parking.

The Laurel is in one of the most attractive areas in Truro (The Pamet), just 10 miles from the tip of Cape Cod. It is convenient to Truro center (1 mile), Wellfleet (5 miles), Provincetown (10 miles).

Truro and neighbouring Provincetown and Wellfleet are packed with shops, galleries, museums, and restaurants. There are water sports, whale-watching opportunities, great biking and hiking trails, and the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast.

The Home

The spacious living/dining Great Room has a soaring 18-foot cathedral ceiling.

Dine at the roomy maple dining table or eat informally at the spacious island counter or on the screen porch. Enjoy the quality audio system or watch satellite TV. There is also super-fast Wi-Fi access for your laptop, PDAs, smart phones, etc. Off the living room, there is a large screened porch and a stairway to the rooftop deck, where you can enjoy private sunning and view beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

The nicely equipped Kitchen has Corian counters, dishwasher, dual fuel range, microwave oven, fridge with in-door filtered water and ice dispenser, coffeemaker, blender, toaster and a generous supply of utensils and dishes. The Master Bedroom has a queen bed, a walk-in closet and stereo system speakers.

The beautifully tiled Bathroom features a whirlpool shower/tub, stereo system speakers and a skylight. We supply bed and bath linens (and some beach towels, too). There is a full-size Washer-Dryer at the head of the stairs, where it’s convenient but behind two doors and out of earshot.

The Lower-Level Suite, with 10-foot ceilings and lots of windows, has a spacious bedroom and a tiled bath that features a clear-glass corner shower and pedestal sink. There’s a 42” flat-screen TV, XFINITY cable TV receiver. The suite’s queen bed and optional twin & queen air mattresses offer flexible sleeping accommodations.

Outdoors, there’s an enclosed outdoor shower with a view, charcoal and gas grills, a picnic table and bench and outdoor chair seating, and a hammock.
